It was a little tongue in cheek but with an element of seriousness involved. Liverpool's season has undoubtably been terrible and they have already been vilified by many. Utd have not but may only end up with the tin pot that is the League cup. Surely not good enough for a team of such status and definately lesser than the Europa league.....

OK pal, if you want to believe that if Liverpool win the Uefa Cup and United fail to win the league Liverpool have hard a more succesful season, go ahead. I truly hope Liverpool enjoy defending they're crown and attempting to replicate they're successful season next year.

I didn't say more successful, I said more of a failure. Big difference

Utd won the league and reached the champions league final last season. Their fall from grace this season could potentially be far greater than Liverpool's demise....

This season we reached the quarter final of Europe.

We won the League Cup for the second year in a row.

We're still in with a very good chance of winning our fourth consecutive League title.

We could come second, having only just missed out on lifting the trophy.

Whereas Liverpool have gone from just missing out on the title to a season where they might not get 5th place, knocked out of Europe in the Group Stages, done f*ck all in domestic cups, and might not even win the cup for the teams that are the 5th best in their country.

I know which season I'd rather have.

You get nowt for getting knocked out in a quarter final or finishing 2nd in a league. It's trophies that matter
