This week: Four keys to a Rhinos win in the WCC

Re: County Cricket 2010 : Fri Aug 06, 2010 12:57 pm
Five down, still 40 behind and the last of the recognised batsmen at the crease.

Where's the bloody rain when you need it?

Now if it were Lancashire needing 113 runs with 8 wickets in hand in a day...that day would be filled with rain, but its certain to be sunny and batter friendly tomorrow.

Not that I'm bitter/paranoid or anything...

Watching Lancs bat is a painful process at the moment. Don't know if it's a lack of confidence/poor coaching but anything over 2.5 an over seems like an impossible task. If we needed 113 with 8 wickets left it'd take us til the final session to wrap it up!

In the current game vs Durham Lancs scored a combined total of 407 in 154.1 overs. Far too slow.

When Sutton, Saj Mahmood, Chapple and Hogg all have higher Championship batting averages than the likes of Horton, Chilton, Moore and Smith then you aren't going to be getting too many big scores.

At least when we get relegated we'll have a trip to Lords to look forward to next season...

Went to watch Glamorgan at Colwyn Bay on wednesday. saw a pretty special knock from Thom Maynard (son of Matthew), 98 off 90 balls including 6 sixes. Was gutted for him to miss out on his hundred. Ben Wright hit a hundred though. Glamorgan have some real good youngsters and it seems as if their policy of playing kids for years is starting to pay off. Top of CC2.

Well ok, so if we apply your logic, this means that you can never ever give your opinion of who you think is a good rugby league player, because you support widnes and therefore wouldnt know a good rugby league player if he smacked you in the face with a 3 eyed fish

Tom's performance was pretty special, he's been doing it this year in the limited overs games but for some reason not in the 4 day game. He had been told that his place was under threat if he didn't come up with the goods against Worcs. What a way to answer your critics. Not a great start for Glamorgan against Middlesex @ the Swalec Stadium though. 17 - 3 after choosing to bat first :DEPRESSED:

Great morning for Yorkshire up at Durham, we've got them at 54/5.

Hopefully we can push on and take advantage of the start.

And well done Yorkshire for picking Tim Bresnan. He'll travel down to London to meet up with the England squad on Tuesday night but will be heading straight back to Durham on Wednesday morning if not required.
