I can see there being a very large order of cushions made at anfield if they go on to pay £14 million for Adam.

We have been rinsed with the Carroll signing, by at least £10m, but that's what happens when your desperate and clubs know you've got a large wedge in the bank.

I wish you Liverpool fans(bar 74) would stop being reasonable. It's spoling my fun. I'm finding it hard to enjoy Torres leaving. I instantly hate him half as much.

I just can't see him being an instant hit, and with that transfer fee hanging over him, anything but an immediate impact would be such a negative.

You never know though, he could score a hat trick in his first game and prove me wrong.
