Re: Betting Chat : Sun Jan 23, 2011 9:03 am
I know Tatenen won yesterday, but has a horse ever been so poor after going off favourite for a top novice chase at Cheltenham (The Arkle)?

Willie Mullins should have a few winners at Leopardstown today. Hurricane Fly looks to be easy money. Flat Out won his chase debut easily, but maybe didn't beat much - whereas Realt Dubh has a bit of form in the book. He also has Day Of Lifetime, Ballyhaunis and Zadarska - all of them definitely worth market checks.

Considering a treble on:

Problema Tic - M'Rasen
Be There in Five - M'Rasen
Hurricane Fly - Leopardstown

Most likely just go for Problema Tic and Hurricane Fly. Be There In Five is currently 8/11 and still to win over fences. This looks easier than his last race, though.

Same person who passed on Zaidpour gave me this last night.

Leopardstown 1.10

Day Of A Lifetime 9/2 and 11/8 place

Well backed on debut winning at 2/5 beating Oscars Well who has since won Grade 1 novice hurdle.

Day Of A Lifetime (Paul) makes his hurdling debut in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He was impressive when he won his bumper but the occasion just overwhelmed him when he contested the Cheltenham Bumper. This looks like a hot race but we think he is back to his best and he jumps well.

Just had a nice sized bet on the 'Fly'. Didn't back Problema Tic, but it won. Be There In Five unplaced favourite.

Hurricane Fly is class. Solwhit layed the challenge down but he come back with more. Was more workmanlike today than his flashy self, but showed a little bit of his class - for a horse that has spent so long off track with setbacks in the past, to be having his third run in 6 weeks, I guess its to be expected.
Didn't tell us anything we didn't know, but I reckon he is the most likely Champion Hurdle winner.

One that should pick up wins in the future: Jolly Boys Outing. Played up at the start and nearly refused to race and must have been 30L adrift, started off keenly and barely clambered over the first, yet got into his stride to dispute second, only to have to settle for third when looking tired late on. 3m beginners chase on heavy ground around Towcester.

Everything went perfect could of won by alot more if needed am told, Thousand Stars set the pace as they wanted to test the Fly jumping/travelling at speed as its next stop is Cheltenham.

Ladbrokes are 9/2 NRNB having some of that its the Champion Hurdle winner if it gets there.

I'm having a break from punting for a while now but will be putting £25 away every week as there's a horse running in May that will be worth backing - I'd advise you do the same.

It's looking like an absolute belting field for this years Champion.

HF is obviously top notch, although it'll be Menorah for me, hugely impressive in it's runs this season.
