So it was ok for JT to go out of his way to make sure his indiscretions didn't become public? That makes him no better than the press, non?
I don't have a problem with Terry trying to keep a lid on a story like this. I don't think Terry will have very much to process of keeping the stories out of print, he'll just approve of whatever his legal advisers feel they can do to stop the stories from coming out.
To expand on what I mean, the press deliberately went out of their way to ensnare JT's dad with the drug story. From the details I've read, the journalists went into his dad's local, befriended him, then asked if he knew where they could get some drugs. His father got them the phone number of a drug dealer. To me if his father was an international drug dealer it would barely be a story, but to set out to get him for that is pathetic.
The story about his mum. TBH I haven't even bothered to find out of the details of that. I just don't care what went on. But going after his parents is clearly out of order to me.
The story about JT taking £10k to show some businessmen around our training ground. IMO if some rich mug wants to give someone ten grand to look around our training ground then anyone should take the mug's money. But the press did that to JT and made a scandal out of it. The problem I have with this is that the person who set up this deal told the "businessmen" that they could arrange similar trips at Old Trafford and Liverpool. If that's true, why did this story begin and end with John Terry?
This story about JT screwing Bridge's ex gf. How has this got released? Most of the sex scandals involving footballers are made public because the slapper kisses and tells. But that's not the case here. She didn't make this public, Bridge didn't and JT didn't. So how has this become a public story?
