I think it will be same old same old with us.

About £20m net to spend, and make the rest off transfers. With players like Babel, Dossena, Lucas, Degen, Leto and Voronin possible departures, I think we should have well over £30m to spend.

Forgot about Voronin was scoring well in germany should get 6 or 7 mill hopefully.

Personally, depending on what money is needed I'd be looking at Silva as first choice. We can't afford Villa, and I'm not sure Tevez isn't too similar to Keane in the role he plays. I really don't want Forlan and I would definitely take Lennon and Johnson as major imporvements in the squad. We would still need a striker though who is good enough to score goals but patient enough to know he is hardly going to play. Can't think of many.

Valencia are hoping they'll only need to sell one of their big names. at the moment silva looks the most likely. story in this morning's paper saying liverpool are preparing a €16.5m bid for the lad. that wouldn't be bad business at all for the scousers.

David Silva to Liverpool for around €16.5M.
Allardyce wants Bojan Krkic on loan next season.
Van Gaal has been offered/given a 2 year contract by Bayern Munich.
Werder Bremen midfielder Diego has agreed to join Juventus in the summer.

I think Silva will cost more around the £18-£25m mark, he's good but with sides like Madrid, Barca, Man City and Juve interested, Valencia will drive that price right up. I think we'll try for him, but I'd very un-confident if things got into a bidding war.

if 16m is acceptable, i am sure some other clubs may enter the fray, he may want to join all the other spanish on the costa del mersey though.

madrid are far more interested in villa. only the other day casillas said he'd like to see villa and mata at a 'big club'
ruben baraja was in today's paper saying they're already at a big club.
