Gloucestershire required around 130, even on a bowler-friendly pitch, sensible batting with the time left should see that easily attained. Instead they get skittled for 70.

Yorkshire have made an approach to re-sign Ryan Sidebottom apparently, probably be a decent enough acquisition if he isn't going to be in the England ODI set-up for much longer, if he is then we'd face the prospect of losing three of our attack to England duty, which wouldn't make much sense to me.

Given the next set of games (Notts/Yorks, Som/Lancs) Durham beating Nottinghamshire yesterday leaves the door slightly ajar, if we can beat Notts it's all on.
