Does Haye not get cut too easily though?
I think these russians/ex-russian world champs are all far more technical and defensive/skilful than maccarinelli last night...i just think it wont be as easy as people think for haye thats all...i agree he's got most of the tools and could easily be a marketing mans dream with the heavyweight division in the state its in at the minute

Predictable outcome, I couldnt believe what I was hearing from Enzos camp in preperation for this fight. Like the previous posters have said I look forward to him taking on the heavyweight division, certainly exciting times ahead for Haye.

Did anyone watch the Mitchell fight? I havent enjoyed a fight in quite a while as much as that, it was excellent.

Didn't see it, but from the sounds of it Johanneson got his limitations exposed a bit in the middle rounds. He's a game lad Carl, but he just lacks that little something extra you need when you step up in class.

As for Haye, providing he doesn't lose too much in terms of hand and foot speed carrying extra weight into the ring, there's no reason why he can't clear up at heavy. The Samuel Peter win at the weekend was a bit of a surprise, and might be a good starting point rather than the awkward, mechanical Klitschkos.

Sounds right to me. He's had some great scraps at domestic level, but each time he's attempted to make the step up he's had his limitations exposed big time.

Temptation, greets you like your naughty mate,
The one that used to get you in bother,
But one that you could never bring yourself to hate.

That right cross was a peach from Haye, McLennan said Enzo didn't flinch, I think he more than flinched but I'm amazed he remained upright for the 20 seconds he did afterwards, it was a proper clunk, and effectivley ended the fight.

Ricky Hatton v Juan Lazcano is now confirmed for 24th May 2008 at COM Stadium. The fight will be in British time btw, not American. 10pm Ray Hatton (Ricky's father) reckons.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, and will cost as little as £30, with family of 4 tickets costing £100.

I got the pre-sales link today and bought some tickets this morning. £30 tickets, although wanted £35 (they were unavailable). Our tickets are still awesome though. Just to right of the half way line, 3rd tier. Can't wait! 8)
