"Getting the money together is the easy bit. But we can't make an offer until the Glazers are placed in a position where they are forced to consider it."
I disagree with that. If the money is in place, they should make an offer to the Glazers now. The Glazers know that they are massively unpopular at MU, they'll know that boycotts are possible in the future if they don't sell up, an offer should be made just to see what the Glazer's reaction is.
If the Glazers then dismiss the offer without even discussing it, that is the time to boycott games to force them out. It just seems stupid to jump straight to a boycott without making an offer first. Why have a war if you don't need one?
I know what you are saying but lets say the Red Knights only have £1bn to buy out the club and they make that offer but the Glazers tell them to come back with something around the £1.2bn mark but the extra funds arn't available. Now if the fans start to boycot and damage the products value the Glazers may be more willing to accept a lower price for the club just to get rid.

i recently stumbled across this article from days gone by biggest wastes of money in football history Bearing in mind this was written in 2001, i'm sure we can come up with more recent examples, and some better ones from days gone by. seth johnson and thomas brolin of leeds would get my vote, perhaps of the two it would be johnson, who neatly sums up the spending madness that went on in the ridsdale era. not sure how much bosnich cost man utd but he would be up there too
I love the story about Johnsons contract negotiations. Seth Johnson goes into the boardroom with his agent to discuss his contract, they went in saying "Ask for £20,000, settle for £15,000." So they went in, and they were offered £25,000. "WHAT?" Seth Johnson replied, obviously shocked at how good the deal is. Then Ridsdale replied, "Ok then, £35,000" Thinking Johnson was unhappy at the terms.
I think we got Bosnich on a free transfair

Both teams too frightened of losing. Only good point was that our back 4, with Kompany & Lescott playing alongside each other for the first time, looked more comfortable than at any time this season
Agree 100% re Lescott and Kompany. Hoefully Toure will not get his place back.
As for the game, I thought we shown a fair bit of ambition. Just that Liverpool defended superbly. They had an excellent defensive shape and they worked extremely hard.
City were much better than they were against Stoke, Portsmouth and Hull.

He gets better with every game. One of Fergie's best signings in recent years. Top quality. His crossing for Rooney's goals were absolutely brilliant.
I see Rio is injured AGAIN. Luckily Vidic is back, a nice solid game and gave Brown some much needed confidence.
I wouldn't have played Rooney or Evra tonight as they both looked knackered at Everton, but both had decent games tonight. Shame for Anderson that he got injured, he looked pretty good for the 10 minutes he was on.
On to Sunday, and I'm tempted by the 10/1 for no goals in 90 minutes. Oh, and the Glazer's are going to be there too, let's hope Wembley is turned green/gold.

That's true, not sure about the money, but something like that happened.
Ridsdale is a f-cking clueless piece of sh.it. Thankfully he's doing a similar job at Cardiff now.
