The FA were on a hiding to nothing. If they'd played and there had been no trouble, they'd still have been criticised for diverting police resources. Wembley itself would have been probably the safest area of London but the problem would have been when 50-70,000 fans returned to different parts of London at 10-11pm. Anyone seen this Radosav Petrovic who Blackburn have signed?

I read an article in a magazine a few years back mentioning him as a big prospect from a minor league. I've seen bits and bobs (highlights in Europe) of him playing for Partizan, and I've seen him play in a Serbia game. Looked a good prospect, tall with underrated ability. Think he'll take a while to settle, but Blackburn could well have themselves a solid prospect for the future. I remember tweeting to one of the Eastern Europe footy journos a year or so about him (might have been Jonathan Wilson) and he said he was due a move, possibly to Serie A at the time.

Everton are going to surprise me and add two new signings before the season starts. I just know it.

Has any club ever signed no players before? Did Chelsea manage it when they were briefly banned from spending?

I thought Everton were 7th after Liverpool and Spurs?

Maybe Moyes will play Fellaini up front again?

On paper we probably are about that but I can see us having our usual $hit start, Spurs away and QPR at home will be two tough fixtures. We don't usually get going until December time. There isn't anyone to score the goals, Saha will when he's fit and Cahill when he's fit but other than that there isn't anyone and not much chance of someone coming in.

Yeah 7th favourites for the title and comfortably behind Liverpool and Spurs.

We're quite desperate for a new striker now, Saha and Beckford will chip in as will Cahill but it's not going to be enough again.
