With Ferguson or any United source NOT coming out saying Huntelaar would be a good signing it seems unlikely that any deal might be occuring.
I can't see United going for any Real Madrid players TBH, otherwise we'd have made Real Madrid offer cash and a player for Ronaldo.

As for David Villa, have Valencia lost their minds? Bojan, Caceres and 40 million euros from Barca? I think Laporta might say erm no thanks goodbye. Madrid pulling out of any deal for Villa due to the reported 50-60m price tag. Something i think will turn Ferguson away from him aswell.
Valencia don't want to sell their best player (and the World's best striker) to one of their La Liga rivals, which is fair enough, so it's quite fair for them to be rejecting bids from Madrid and Barcelona and asking for stupid amounts.
However, in order to cash in and prevent David Villa scoring at will against them, they would have to sell abroad, therefore, could accept a bid that's less than what they're asking Barca/Madrid to pay, which could work in United's favour.
