My hatred of "scousers" is almost totally a hatred of the red scousers. But Everton doing a minutes applause for everyone who died in 2012 and Pienaar's "God is Great" t-shirt celebration after he scored meant that I hated EVERYTHING scouse for a good few minutes.

How exactly??..... To be honest, when I saw our line up before the game, I'd have took a draw in a flash - I'd probably have taken a 'brave' narrow defeat too.

In the aftermath, I'm a bit disappointed, simply because an Everton side, missing 4 of its most influential, vital elements, actually gave as good as it got and stood toe to toe with a decent, in form Chelsea team and never got its deserved reward.

Of course a defeat is a defeat, but to suggest the manner of the loss ends our season is a little bizarre - I'd actually suggest it makes teams take us more serious than they might have done before.

Has somebody as already suggested, if we go on a bad run and start getting battered by the likes of Stoke and Villa, then I'll accept the bubble as burst, but for now I'll take today's defeat as an acceptable one against a team expected to have an influence on the outcome of the title.

Only having a bit of banter mate. Whilst you have had a good season so far I can't see you finishing fourth and neither can I see us. I felt Chelski were there for the taking today. I also thought you were lucky last week to beat Wigan. I dont mind Everton as a club, they have done alot of work getting JFT96 and their fans are generally sound.

Dita, are you suprised Everton arent attempting to try and bring Tim Cahill back on loan? Given that according to Sky Sources Sunderland are in talks to sign him.

Not really surprised, and I hope we don't try to bring him back - He's had his time with us, and while a valuable player in his time, by the end he was definitely on the decline.

Sunderland is about his level.....Though it wouldn't surprise me if old Harry at QPR had a sniff and took him to London - He'd certainly be an addition to the mediocrity they presently have and might bring a bit of fight to their side.

Everton were really unlucky today. They dominated the opening 20 minutes and could have been 3 up. Chelsea's quality was always going to tell in the end, particularly in midfield. Had Fellaini and Gibson played it could have been different, but the midfield was so weak for Everton today. Hitzlsperger is still getting back to fitness and Osman doesn't have the engine for the box to box role he had, he's far more effective in the final 3rd, leaving the messy stuff to Gibson and Neville.

Jelavic must have been close to a breakdown, his frustration levels were through the roof. He hit the post, the underside of the bar and fluffed the one decent chance he got. But he's getting like Duncan Ferguson and Fellaini when he first came to England, he can't move without giving a free kick away. Some of the free kicks that were being given against him today were ridiculous.

Agreed...I think most Evertonians feared the worst when they saw the line up...Two of Fellaini/Mirallas/Gibson/Neville in midfield today would probably have seen a better outcome for Everton.

There is little value out there if you're Citeh, Chelsea or Man U. Swansea bought him for £2m. If either of those three clubs had been involved then they'd have probably quoted £15m as a starting price and gone up from that.

And there's also the fact that Michu has pretty much exploded into form at Swansea. He'll score about 15 goals in 20 games in Wales. It took 40 games to get the same tally at his last club and 100 for the club before that.

yes there is 'big club tax' but my point is, you've had the ridiculous Sceijder situation for the last couple of years with various clubs supposedly interested where there would be a fee of circa £30m and no doubt wages in the region of £200+K per week week, when there are probably dozens of players who could be brought in who would improve on United's aging midfield + post illness Fletcher for a fraction of the transfer fee and wages,

Always thought Christian Ericksen from Ajax would be a good option for you.
