iirc the point being made back then was 'most important' rather than 'best', United fans were saying they would prefer to lose Ronaldo than Rooney.

No not really, but you won't beleive that - and to a large extent Rooney was sacrificed to indulge Ronaldo , which he did get pushed wide and dropping deep - he is now centre stage and has stepped up like most united fans expected him too

Ronaldo did fabulous things for united for a long time, and everyone knew he wanted to go to Madrid and that it would happen at some point, but Rooney has been the heartbeat of the team for a long long time.

From the reports it was another Blackburn fan that did it.

Think Stoke will be in big trouble if it's true that they were using an oil drum as a bin.

Arsene Wenger and Arsenal, I am so jealous of how you play football.

It makes his ridiculous decision to disrespect the League Cup and FA Cup for the past 4/5 years more spasticated.

IIRC he's won less than the FSW in recent years, yet refuses to go out and strengthen his team. Idiot.
