I keep hoping for that Anders Limpar moment. I remember being lay on the couch when his signing popped up late at night. Doesn't happen anymore unfortunately. No sightings of Aimar or Riquelme at John Lennon Airport this year. Just seems like the whole club is resigned to it's inability to compete and is perfectly happy to finish fourth from bottom this season.

I've never thought Moyes at United was particularly realistic.....Mourihnio would be my choice at Old Trafford.

Personally, I've always seen Moyes heading for Celtic at some point, though when those Villa rumours were going about in August, I thought Moyes might go....Certainly, if that Villa chance came about now, I think Moyes would go.

I sense that there is already a gentleman's agreement between Kenwright and Moyes, that if the right ofer comes in, then Moyes will be released.

Zoggy is a good natural left sided player and tore us apart at SJP earlier this season, but why aren't we putting 10m bids in for strikers?

Ameobi is decent on his day but seems to struggle for fitness nowadays, Ranger isn't anything special, Best is rubbish (had one good game - the hat-trick game) and the less said about Lovenkrands the better.

More likely that there is only one striker in that class around and free but he won't take a cut in wages.

Lovenkrands may not pull up trees but he has never let us down when he's given the chance, oh we've Ben Arfa when he's fit.

Strictly speaking, he isn't much good though is he?

Ben Arfa isn't really a striker, much more effective creative midfielder.

The SSN lot are just being patronising, saying that there isn't time to bring players in now but are sure money will be spent for our second season back up (bit presumptuous at this stage IMHO). When has this board ever spent any proper money? Pardew will have to wheel and deal like Hughton did.
