Looking back on things, surely it should have been the other way around: Keegan without a DOF; Shearer with a DOF? I know most don't agree with it, but he's really inexperienced in all areas of football management. What role has Dowie been brought in as?

It just shows that Wise has gotten in the way of the managerial things, Shearer has come in and said that he isn't going to work with Wise sticking his nose in. If they want Shearer to be manager, he wants to be manager, not having Wise dictate to him.

They obviously did the same with Keegan, Keegan being his own person said no and stick it and he walked. They didnt want the same thing to happen twice.

I personally think it's a last throw of the dice by him.

I know for a fact that season ticket renewals are down, way down on what they were at the start of last season. He isn't popular, he has made some awful mistakes, has said things which have just been lies and other things which are just stupid.

He knows a love for Newcastle will prevail over a hatred for him.
