I think Everton fans should be more worried about Yobo staying than Lescott going. Feillani was terrible too. Anyways, players and teams have off-days.

Given the choice I'd much rather lose 6-1 to Arsenal than 8-1 to Boro.

Why are city playing at Barca tonight? An attempt to enhance the global brand? Looks like city have joined the list of clubs (Utd included) that have sold out to the money men.

Lescott has been dropped, I don't know why Everton don't just sell, it's daft money for a player his ability and they can further strengthen the side in other areas.

We're desparate for the money. Bills to pay, got to keep the wolf from the door.

Gareth Barry missed a week's training recently due to the effects of a heavy tackle in training from Tel Ben Haim. Apparenthy TBH reserves his heaviest tackles for his teammates in training. This fixture is designed to temporarily protect the players from him.

The squad as a whole appears a tad undercooked at the moment. The new players need time to gel. The game will probably be played at walking pace, Barca will not want too taxing a friendly just before their season kicks off. Its essentially a glorified training session without the risk of TBH. The one real drawback will be that the players will miss a decent nights sleep.

The players will enjoy it. Hughes will use the fixture as a motivational exercise. We will receive an education in one of our weaknesses at Blackburn ie keeping the ball, from the best club team in the world.
