So, Saint Linnet, how far is our journey back to Conference football?

Football Conference
Conference North
Unibond Premier
Unibond Div 1
NWC 1
NWC 2

Is that it? and our we in NW2 on the verge on promotion to NW1?

Yeah that's right. In 4 seasons we will be celebrating our long-awaited return to the Conference National :D On a serious note it's great that we are only 1 game away from getting promotion in our inaugural season. What a difference in optimism than this time last year...

We are playing you in a pre-season friendly on 28th July at Wincham Park. Do you think you will be going to that game?

Oh i remember this time last year. 8-1, 7-0, 5-0, 5-1, 6-1.

What's with the player profiles though. I mean some of them say Previous Cubs: Prescot Cables, St Helens, Warrington Town and Liverpool.

There are a few more that say Fulham, Everton and Cadiz!!

I had a trial at Everton when I was nine, does that mean they're one of my previous clubs?

Ha ha maybe! did you actually play a game for them though?
Yes it was awful last season, it's nice just to feel positive about Runcorn FC again.
As a side note, who did you used to go to the games with Fresh Prince? I'm trying to work out if i may have seen you before

I went with 100% Wire who posts on here. My mate who i went to Primary school with got me into it, then i got 100% wire into going when we was at secondary school (The Heath). I went the last game at Canal St in 2001 v Gateshead but 100% never because he was out for his birthday  pffff. Haha. How about you? Where did you stand at Canal St? We stood in the top corner towards the Navigation Inn then had a little stint with the prawn sandwich brigade in the 'main stand'.

100% Wire isn't called Urkey or Spenner is he? Only they are also some Runcorn fans who support Warrington.
At Canal Street I stood on the 'pop' side, depending on which goal we were attacking it was either in the World Stand or the open air bit next to the main part of covered terracing. Have also stood behind the goal near the players tunnel on a few occasions.
I know which corner you mean, I stood there when we played Liverpool in that friendly game when there was 2,000 people in the ground and I couldn't get to my normal spot lol.
I also went to The Heath and I remember that Gateshead game well as I was the mascot!

No, he's none of them. I only started supporting Warrington after I stopped supporting Runcorn around 2003. Did you go Bristol Rovers? That was ace. 100% Wire predicted a 0-0 draw on the way down there on the coach as well. Shame he didn't predict our coach breaking down on the way back

Yeah, I went the Liverpool game too. But i missed our goal as I was facing the other way for some un-known reason, lol. I miss the place.

I don't remember that at all :? Favourite Canal St moments? Beating Hyde Utd after Extra Time in the 99 FA Trophy. Singing 'kopites are gobshites' at all the Runcornians who turned up to support the Gobs in that friendly  standing behind the goal at a FA Trophy match against Guiseley and taunting the goalkeeper
