Word on the street is that Casey Stoner will not race at Brno and could also miss the rounds in Misano and Indy, due to illness.

Expecting confirmation from Ducati tomorrow.

There are plenty of riders out there who seem fine but why fatigue has got to Stoner at his age is a shame.

Nicky Hayden in 2006 I believe and Kevin Schwantz too. The only other US rider who could come through, that I know of, is Ben Spies who is, at the moment, in World Superbikes.

A more talented rider than Doohan IMO, and he'd just started to get his consistency together when he won the title. Doohan then decides to run him over at Donington in his title-defence season and he never really recovers, whilst Doohan goes on to 5 titles in a row with a dominant bike and gets accolades aplenty. Sport's just not fair at times.
