They've made a few good signings. I think they have strengthed on last year. Sessengon is a good signing from PSG whilst O'Shea can provide a more solid option at the back.

However, if Steve [He's got a big fat head] Bruce's men start the season how they ended last year, they could end up finishing in the bottom half.

Sebastian Larsson is a good signing for them, I think he'll go well. They've never scored enough goals for me from midfield Sunderland, always reliant on the front players. Both he & Gardner will chip in with goals and also you get set piece delivery from Larsson.

I think they'll have a slightly better season, maybe finish 9th. I know they've signed Wickham, and they have Gyan but they no longer have a prolific striker.

Oh, and the deal will be worth €340,000 PER WEEK.


Fabregas reportedly off to Barca for £27m, + £5.2m in potential add-ons, which makes him cheaper than Andy Carroll. Yet again, .

Eto'o's deal is madness.

I see Aquilani scored the winner for Italy against Spain today. is that the same Aquilani that can't get into the Liverpool squad? Something wrong there.

I know he is a terrific player, but £30m for a striker that will be 31 before the end of the season is unbelievable.

He'll tear it up in Russia, for sure, but so could plenty of players worth half his value. Aside from three or four teams, the quality of teams look generally poor.

I thought it was £29m up front, £6m in installments + £5m provided by Fabregas by paying £1m a year out of his wages. Making it a total of £40m.
