Ive taken Punchestowns on with Pasco today. Mccoys only ride I think, which says something and he will be allowed to dictate in front. Punchestowns looked a crab last time out and to many 8/11 looks a steal, but for every backer theres a layer too and I'll happily oppose it at odds on, especially as his jumping looked suspect too last time. The perfect scenario would be for Pasco to jump out make all, Punchestowns to make a mistake or two and throw the towel in.

Shocking (no pun intended) turn of events at Newbury today. For two horses to die in the paddock like that is just stunning and incredibly sad.

Oh dear!

Extraordinary that at Newbury, one of the horses lad's reporting that he was getting a shock off his horse, and a few others affected aswell as the two that died.

Shocking that they even ran the first race (even though I had the winner, albeit at reduced odds).



Massive compensation awaits for all concerned, could cost Newbury a fortune.

Being electricuted by the paddock. Oops. That a major problem. Luckily no people have died, it's sad enough that the horses are dead.



I cannot imagine how much compensation will need to be paid in those circumstances. Futures earnings and all.... Ouchio.

Newbury will have insurance to cover it all financially - I hope they will be punished in some other way if found to be at fault for any of it.

Having seen the pictures (shown on C4) of the horses collapsing I can't understand how that race was run.
