There have been 2 or 3 real top quality games so far and that was one of them, bodes well for the matches after Christmas as Lewis, Whitlock, Anderson and Part especially look very well prepared and might not take out a Taylor but could well rattle the likes of Wade, King and Barney.
Anderson v Baxter in the next round could be a cracker. Doubly so (sorry) as they can both be erratic on the doubles but throw some quick high scores/ shot-outs.
Lewis & Part are on Taylor's side of the draw. Should they each get through it would be Lewis for Taylor in the quarters and Part in the semis, I think.
Could be King v Part in another quarter-final from that side of the draw.
Anderson is on Wade & Barney's side of the draw and could upset one or both of them as long as he gets more consistent on hitting doubles.
Whitlock's that side of the draw too.
Current betting is -
1/3 Taylor
8/1 Wade
10/1 Barney
12/1 Anderson
28/1 Lewis
33/1 T Jenkins
33/1 King
Do they do each-way for getting to the Final?
If so there's value on Wade, Barney or Anderson but I can't figure out which one it'll be.
