I understand that trainers are keen to get runs into horses ... I just think that the Newbury authorities should have made the decision (they eventually made) quicker.

Possibly but with the horses ready to go, the race already delayed and the remaining runners left in the race passed fit by the vet it isn't always easy to make instant decisions is it. I'm just glad the first went without incident and the right decision was then made.

Was horrible to see what happened at newbury, ive just started working at totesport in the call centre and everyone was in shock. had no idea why it was being delayed untill later on. Gonna be interesting to see what fault caused this to happen.

Awful news on Saturday, I was away with the girlfriend for the weekend so didn't actually see the news until late Sunday night. Didn't expect to hear scenes of the collapses had been seen on C4.



Also seen about the horses in Ireland too, particularly saddening about Money Trix - he was a genuine horse for the Nicky Richards yard, he has lost Money Trix just shortly after another of his stable stars, Monet's Garden, has been fighting for his life. Apart from Noble Alan, I can't think of any other smart horses in his yard now.



Can't remember the last time so many horses lost their lives in one day, with the ones at Newbury not even jumping an obstacle.
