Performing better than Cheltenian at home... these heavy conditions are not ideal imo but is a very talented horse.

After having a break from the horses for a fortnight, starting today with Court In Motion. Rated very highly and likes the heavy ground.

Fancy Baby Run and Sprinter Sacre too, started with the obvious ones, haven't had a look at much else yet. The Kingwell looks a fascinating little race.

The ground at Haydock is completely dead. Court In Motion was a very one paced 2nd. Winner looked good though.


Wonder if there's some info for the Nicholls horse in the 1605 at Ascot, just he has went from 4/1 to 11/4, and Sprinter Sacre frin 1/4 to 2/5.

Aye Iconoclast hit a few but didn't half pick up going for home. Royal Tune was cruising jumping the last few, did he forget the horse was stepping up in trip?

Haydock is too heavy going for my liking today. Another horse (Bensalem) becomes bogged down going for home. Last two winners at Haydock 16s, 8s, only horse near the head of the betting to figure so far was in the first, winning favourite.

Going for Riverside Theatre. He's a horse I've always liked, and is probably the best horse in the race. The drop in trip won't inconvenience him and the ground shouldn't be too bad for him either.

Pride Of Dulcote is still continuing his education over fences, still hasn't had many runs over fences so will be asking a lot to win this IMHO.

Sad news, Pride Of Dulcote broke a leg and was put to sleep.

Third Intention was home and hosed jumping the last but fell into some quicksand.

Breedsbreeze had a lot of weight but thought it had a bit more class. Wrong!

Gonna have a bit on Dunguib now. I know he has been off for about ten months but, if he is as good as connections have been telling us since he was running in bumpers, he should be able to see off the challenge of the admirable Luska Lad.

Obviously looked like he needed the run, but the win is all they will be bothered about.

Left the Kingwell as I reckon any of four could win it.

Sprinter Sacre ensures I'm in a nice profit for the day, might have to note it down in my diary after how my past couple of weekends when I've backed horses have turned out. Just a nice profit today, not a massive win, not a crushing loss.

Just can't decide whether to back Baby Run or not.
