He's right on the first one - Quevega doesn't go. She was due to run last weekend as a prep for the race but didn't make it so has been pulled out of the race (she got loved by our UK handicapper anyway - he's put her up 17lbs from her last British/Irish run). Disgraceful handicapping but that's just my opinion

As for Cousin Vinny beating the Hurricane - he'll be wrong on that one. Looking like Cousin Vinny will go for the 2m 5f Ballymore Properties Hurdle on the Weds as they ran him at 2m 2f the other day when he won, think Hurricane Fly will do him for a turn of foot after the last and his cruising speed really really does take the biscuit. Best horse we've seen for years (and I include Istabraq and Baracouda and Inglis Drever in that).

Will have a word about the Champion Bumper with my mate later in the week and see what she says, after last years Cousin Vinny win hopefully she'll put us onto another Mullins horse (had an unplaced, Fiveforthree and unlucky sixth and Cousin Vinny the last three years).

Had a few winners has the yard in recent weeks - some very impressive indeed.


I don't normally back topweights in handicap staying chases but According To Pete has done nothing wrong thus far in his chasing career including a few very impressive victories - despite what the trainer says I feel he's still well enough handicapped for these big Northern Handicaps

id put my weekend picks on but every time i do they flop... badly!

on this weekend's billy hill coupon they offer 100/1 for 4 draws(thats at least 100/1) and seeing as its the f.a cup then it must be worth a wee punt?
man utd-spurs is 3/1 the draw and seeing as man u have many injuries and redcapp has said he will field his "weakest possible team" then a draw looks a decent bet

liverpoo-everton played out a draw last monday night and i cant see many goals once again

cardiff-ARSEnal is 5/2 the draw another potential "banana skin" for the gooners seeing as they aint playing that well

hull-millwall is 5/2 the draw millwall are 3rd in league 1 and will fancy another f.a cup run&possibly be dreaming of another final appearance

pompey-swansea is 9/4 the draw the swans are 9th in the championship and once again will fancy their chances

sunderland-blackburn cant see many goals in this one either? as both would trade a decent cup run for premiership points

Diamond Harry should hack up but he's up against 2 decent types and I've got the other 5 horses in the field at 2/1.

No Ashley Young for Villa today, Doncaster in decent formand O'Neill's big interest is the Champions League placing.

Aberdeen stuffed Celtic last week and play a poorer Rangers team yet are available at 7/2. At home.

Think Big Bucks with 8lbs against Punchestowns could be a good call and got the 9/2 available last night.
