A total nugget who got involved with Runcorn Linnets. Also a Man. United fan, tried to get involved with the marketing of FC United, was told no thanks and he then started waging an anti-FC vendetta. As well as spouting off against any United supporters' group who spoke out against Glazer. He's also only a United fan 'cos his dad's got a box, supposedly always been an Everton fan himself. He then got himself a position at Stretford End Flags, made a 'name' for himself and spouted off about FCUM abandoning the club and all the rest of it.

He then got involved with Runcorn Linnetts despites the fact that circumstances were pretty much the same as FCUM, albeit on a smaller scale. Hypocrisy knows no bounds when you're trying to make a name for yourself.
You are Tufty and I claim my £5.

Was he behind thos hilarious "Love United, Hate FC United- Judas Scum" stickers.

I chuckled when I saw one of those at the WCC, and no mistake.

Yeah Tufty was a supporter when we were at Canal Street but then refused to go ever again once we moved. However, he has been to a few Linnets games but he never seems to have anything positive to say, seems to think he could do everything better than everyone else...

That's him alright.

Between the late 80s and early 90s I used to watch St. Helens Town a hell of a lot.

Fit inbetween City home games (and instead of in some cases in the late 80s), I'd go watching them all over the place. The FA Vase Semi-Final 2nd Leg at Emley still provides one of my all time favourite sporting memories.

Alas, the magic wore off and I began to realise that the football and the occasion was even more boring than watching City and I haven't been to a non-league game for ten years. I have no intention of ever going back if truth be known.

Next season we might be in the same league as St Helens Town so will be playing them again (we had a friendly against them pre-season) It feels weird watching football at KR!! Feel free to come along to that one Dave. You might get the magic back

I've never been since they sold their soul, left Hoghton Road and changed from blue and white to red and white. The club died that day as far as I am concerned, even if they did move to my team's Rugby League ground.

My boss is an AFC Wimbledon fan which is very entertaining at the minute1

That's exactly what happend with Runcorn. We moved from our home and shared grounds with Widnes Vikings and we changed our name to Runcorn FC Halton. A similar thing has happend to Emley. It's a shame local Premier League clubs & local businesses don't do more to help non-league football out. That said Everton and Liverpool both came to play Runcorn at Canal St to raise funds.

18th out of 22 ATM St Helens town seem to be safe from going down. RMI played them in Pre season - it was not the best game.
