The incentive for derbies against Leeds next year should invigorate the side in the run-in.

Runcorn FC RIP. Such a shame, used to love going canal street. I remember a few cracking cup games that went into ET. Good times.

Yes I also used to love going to Canal Street. I carried on going when we were at Widnes but last season when we were at Prescot I only went a handfull of games because it was just too depressing to see what state our club was in. This season I've only missed a few games at the beginning but I'm enjoying it again which is what counts. As well as keeping out hard-core support we've also gained a few new faces and some old supporters who havnt been since the Canal Street days.

I can fully understand your view Fresh Prince, but if you ever feel like coming along one day you will be more than welcome

What sort of crowds are you getting nowadays? Would've thought Witton would be a bit out of the way considering the distance from Runcorn to Northwich, but hopefully you'll end up a little closer to home soon enough. Cracking bar at Witton though it must be said, we played there against Northwich in the Conference in the 2004/05 season when their new ground was still being built.

Our average attendance this season is 208 which is the highest in the division. We run a Travel Club to home games to enable fans to get to Wincham Park from various pick-up points in Runcorn and sometimes Widnes (depending on the demand!) The Travel Club also provide a service to all away games which means that we actually take a healthy crowd to away grounds (something we havnt done in years!)

You're right about the bar as well, the whole ground is a nice little set up and we are very gratefull to Witton for allowing us to use their facilities for this season and next. Fingers crossed for a ground in Runcorn soon though :D

2012/13 Ryman League Division 1 South Play-Off Final

: Thu Mar 15, 2007 4:08 pm
Former non-league giants, former league members (and soon to return in a few years 8) ), Maidstone United!

Currently top of the Ryman League Division 1 South on Goal Difference, but with 2 games in hand. Only got promoted to the division last season by winning the Kent League.

Still playing away from Maidstone (have been since 1988) at the moment Sittingbourne being the place, but work has finally begun on a new ground in the town.

Cheers mate :D What news is there on a ground in runcorn being built? Can Mond or Gen Chems not add stand around their ground for the linnets to play there? Would certainly increase attendance if they moved back home.

The club were in talks with the owners of Pavillions about leasing a ground there but negotiations stopped, so at the moment other avenues are being explored. Things do look more positive about a move back to Runcorn than they ever have done, so heres hoping!
