That's great, but it's not non-league football.

FC currently in fifth place in the Unibond Premier League. Three wins on the bounce have put us up there after starting with two defeats and a draw. Kendal away on Saturday, will be a tough game.

I think I'm making my season's debut in two weeks for the home game versus Guiseley, a place where I won the Champion Soccer 6's League Cup tonight. 8) :)

Sad news regarding Farsley, not surprising though considering how empty the stands were when we visited them in the BSP, throw in that they only made 150 programs when we took 400 and you can understand how they have ended up in difficulties.

Salisbury have made a very savvy move by going into administration this morning. Should clear a lot of their debts by the time the next transfer window opens, very clever. Puts them 2nd bottom on 0 points with Chester still on -23

Biggest kick in the nads has been not receiving the money for the part of the ground that they'd sold off. Very sad news though.

Said the same when Fisher went under with similar tax owing in the Summer. In truth the BS North and South has probably been a bad thing for most clubs and the only real beneficiaries have been the players getting inflated wages as most clubs promoted from the Unibond, Southern and Ryman Leagues do not see a massive rise in gates and most teams relegated into it really struggle to survive (and in some cases do not even manage that), Last seasons BS North winners Tamworth being the one example of a team coming back that springs to mind. There is no guarantee that teams like Farsley would have survived better being dropped back into the old Unibond set up if the BS North and South did not exist but it does make you wonder as most of the teams that have really struggled recently have been in the leagues governed by the Conference than those in the two steps below covered by the "traditional" regional leagues.

Good 2-0 win today for City against a poor Crawley team who wouldn't of scored if they stayed there all night. Big talking point of the day though has to be the abandonment at the Gateshead - Hayes game due to injury, Hope the lads ok
