Paul Evans is back at City on trial with a view to a permanent deal. I'd be happy with that. He'd be a good player at this level assuming he's over his injuries.

Agree with that.

I think having an experienced "spine" of the team and surrounding that with younger players is a good way of doing thigs at this level and with Wetherall-Evans and Peter Thorne we'd have that, all of whom should be of a good quality for the league we are in.

Just been up to get my season ticket, almost up to 7000 apparently which is good going, couldn't get any decent seats in either of the touchline stands.

What seats did you get? I'm hoping for a half decent seat in the Sunwin.

Good luck!

We've ended up about halfway up Block E in the Kop, there was nothing left in the Sunwin past the first 3 or 4 rows for two people sitting together, although there may be the odd seat here and there, The Midland Road is the same and there is also not much left in the lower tier of the Kop after the first seven or eight rows.

The one thing that will annoy me is that I bet there are quite a few people who have got a free under 11 season ticket for kids who don't always take them! I go with my grandad and we were going to get one for my cousin, but trying to find three seats together anywhere half decent was an absolute nightmare!

Left sided IIRC, can also play on the left of midfield.

Decent signing in the short term IMO, we're struggling for left sided players.

and he's already tried to scupper our promotion plans.Robbie Williams ( who town had agreed to sign from Barnsley) kicked the underside of his boot during training for Barnsley & fractured his shin. The town deal is now off as he's crocked for 2 months.Imagine turning up to sign for your new club on crutches ( which he did apparently).Just thought i'd cheery you City chaps up a bit with that.

Happy with that, he was our player of the year when he was here last time and is the type who won't let you down, without being spectacular.

Hope he won't be employed in the centre of midfield though like the Nicky Law masterstroke of the time!

The McCall era off to a winning start last night then, with a 1-0 victory at Harrogate Town in the first pre-season friendly.

Watch out in trivia quizzes for "which former Football League manager scored the first goal under his successor". :D

We've sold 10000 tickets! Fantastic acheivement, and all at the club must be congratulated on incorporating a great scheme. Next target is to outsell Leeds!
