Clean and simple, but at 50 quid I wouldn't go near it.

Saracens chief executive Edward Griffiths has criticised fans who booed during Sunday's win over Gloucester.

Supporters jeered and slow handclapped during a lengthy passage of second-half kicking at Vicarage Road, a reaction Griffiths described as "astonishing".

That was probably why the southern hemisphere nations wanted the ELV's brought in but were outvoted by the northern hemisphere nations.

Maybe they should change the name to Rugby Ping Pong.

Birmingham Solihull (formerly Pertemps Bees iirc) are facing administration. The second tier side is over £170k in debt, £90k owed to internal revenue and £80k owed to players for the last two month/weeks's wages.

Methinks their operating costs are too high if they pay the players that much.

The ELVs resulted in more kicking (most of it aimless) and more stoppages, ironic given than many on here declared it trying to be more like RL. So make you own conclusions about that.

Argentina were against the ELVs, RSA did not mind whether they used ELVs or or the previous set of rules as long as they had a consistent ruleset, AUs. and NZ only wanted certain rules. NH hemisphere Unions voted for the the ELVs (particularly England and France) just not the same same ones that Aus. and NZ.

The ELVs were thrown out because there was little evidence they improved anything, unless you consider defending team regularly running back 10m due to the large number of short arm penalties.
