There must be a real suicidal feeling in Australia right now, a country whose whole national identity is based on sport:

Lose to India/S.Africa @ Cricket
Lose RLWC final to N.Zealand
Lose in Olympic Medals table to G.Britian
No top Aussie Tennis players anymore
Lose the RU tri nations to N.Zealand and lose to Wales

Australia = Born losers?

Big run chases are where it's at.

Australia need a half decent spin bowler.

2 out of the 5 all time top run chases have happened in the last month.

Coincidence? Or are we going to see more of the same over the next few years?

You just wait till England chase down that 450 on Tuesday :)

It's all about attitude, years ago 250 in the 4th innings was unthinkable, together with faster scoring and better pitches.

To survive test cricket has to become appealing. It's great to see teams aiming to achieve these high runs chases to win matches. The days when teams could play out for a draw are long gone IMO.

20/20 cricket may also make players play that way in test matches as they now know they can knock a few in a short space of time.
