The reason Rafa is kicking up such a fuss over his contract, is because he wants to decide who he signs, he wants to know his budget and decide how it is spent. Not Rick Parry.

Over the summer, I think we all know Rafa's number one target was Gareth Barry, although he did want Keane, I think if Rafa had things his way, he'd have spent £18m on Barry over Keane. Get it?

Are you being intentionally ironic Rob?

It came out wrong

Rafa obviously liked Keane, and he was obviously one of our targets; however, I, and I'm pretty sure Rafa, felt (hence the fuss) that Barry was the top target in the Summer, if he'd have got Barry and not Keane, he'd have been much happier, but they waited to sign Keane, to then tell Rafa he can't have Barry.

Keane was a player Rafa wanted, but it was Parry who decided who he could have, in an ideal world he'd have had both, but I think Rafa not getting Barry, has resulted in him wanting this clause in his contract where he decides who to sign and he decides where his budget is spent.

Is it to do with add-ons? Like £12m but rising to £15m after x, y and z have happened?

Should it be made pubic knowledge though? I think so.

Although football is slightly different to other buisnesses as it's played out in the media and with supporters wishing to know the ins and outs, has it anything to do with anyone other than those that will know.

Bentleys proved at Spurs and Arsenal that he's a better player being a big fish in a small pond than being a small fish in the big pond.He moved to Spurs to help his international prospects but it now looks like he'd have had a better chance of making the world cup squad staying at Rovers.

Bentley is the most egotistical footballer I have ever seen. He cannot beat a man, cannot run with the ball, isn't especially creative and doesn't work hard defensively. Basically he can do nothing except cross a ball from a set piece (and he hasn't even done this at Spurs well). Despite this he parades around like he's Maradona or something and we paid 16 million for this privelige.

As I said, crazy piece of business.
