How long did it take you to work that out? :)

I'd say 60k attendances and a European Trophy makes them a big club, not forgettinga UEFA Cup Final appearance recently.

United struggled to match that before the domination of money / start of the Prem...

It is relevant. The guitarist from the best band that this country has ever produced lives in the town.

Thought Nodster lives in Hale?

It depends what you mean by 'one of the biggest'. Top 10? Top 20? Top 30?

We (i.e. richest club in the world) have become their feeder club so they must be 'big'.

I was actually in a bar once in Ho Chi Minh City where there was a Celtic Supporters Club meeting. Very strange, I must say.

How do you know City are the richest club in the world? Have you seen the price of oil lately?

So why refer to Manchester? It isn't relevant.

It was as relevant as Liverpool in the comment I quoted.

Not saying they aren't a big club but they are hardly one of the biggest in europe.

Celtic would comfortably be competing with the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd, Real and co if they were in the Prem. The size of both the Glasgow clubs is difficult to grasp unless you view it firsthand.

At first I would agree, however within 5 years Celtic would certainly be challenging. They are a huge, huge football club and with the handouts Sky would be giving simply due to being in the Prem, it would be a matter of time before they challenged top 4.

Like Newcastle? And City? And Leeds?

Sky money does not = sucess. Yes clubs get the millions, but so do 19 others. Celtic are no bigger a club than City, Spurs or Leeds.

We are because our owner has his fingers in lots of pies :)

'Nodster'? Is that Johnny Marr's nickname?
