I don't really know much about it. I don't know why. Thinking about it I should know alot more about it actually. So pardon my ignorance here, but why do Liverpool fans hate one of the red tops? (The Sun?) I know it had something to do with the tragic events at Hillsborough.

The Sun basically accused Liverpool supporters of single-handedly causing the tragedy, as well as other misdemeanours.

The Sun at the time was edited by Kelvin MacKenzie, as nearly as obnoxious an individual as Piers Morgan.

Was it also The Sun that claimed Liverpool fans urinated on dead bodies after first relieving them of their wallets? Under the headline, The Real Truth if I remember correctly.

I was going to post the same but thought I had surely made it up. Sun = SCUM.

I don't think we should de-rail this with anti- "The Sun" posts. I think we should keep this thread purely to pay respect to the 96 who lost thier lives.
