Rochdale is interesting as football matches kicking off that early tend to lack a bit of sparkle and it will be interesting to see how RL players react to the early start infront of what I'd guess will be a very sparse crowd.

And we're resting 8 1st teamers

Very much a young squad today

Think Poland are a cracking bet to progress from Thursday's Eurovision Semi Final. Very remenicant of Leona Lewis (I know thats a bad thing but this is Eurovision!!!!) Even the composer is from Moscow where the event is being held so that will get her brownie points.

Norway Greece and Azerbaijan are certs to qualify. The other 7 who do is totally open, Estonia who are next in the heat betting are pseudo classical goth rubbish, Lithuania are worse. Denmark should do ok as its pap written by Ronan Keating (should he not be writing Irelands???) Ireland seem to have revived Kenickie from somewhere without being half as good as they were (50/50 to get through probably depends how much Europe go for Avril Lavigne type angst). Slovenia seem to have confused Eurovision with Last Night Of The Proms, Hungary have some mid 80's electro pop monstrosoty and as for the Netherlands their performers and video are fantastically bad (think Redcoats at Butlins who've worked there for 30 odd years!!!). Serbia are fantastic until the scary singer starts, Cyprus and Albania have their versions of Hanna Montana who could do ok. The Latvia song is actually quite good but do not think it will qualify and Slovakia sleep inducing (think that covers everyone).

I think Poland will safely finish at least 6th or 7th in the heat and go through with ease.

2/1 with Bet365 at present but most bookies not priced up yet. So you may get bigger in the week.

Then again if they are as good as McNally at Whitehaven the future will look bright. Guess with a young side handling errors are likely which may keep the score down. Kicking will be important too if they are to cover 56 or so points.

Missed out Crioatia (boring folk rubbish) and Moldova even more folky but a much more fun effort which should go through.

I know I was desperatly trying to find a decent bet for Eurovision (already done Turkey not sure they will win it now, probably top 5) but the more I research the more confussed I get (or perhaps all those lovely tunes are rotting my brain!!!)

Back to more serious matters (well nearly)

Think Whitley Bay will lift the FA Vase (4/5 with Ladbrokes)

Im 50/50 with the North East this weekend (won on Gateshead, lost on Sunderland) so hopefully the Bay see me ok.
