Sox have passed the beyond help stage. Valentine is struggling, rotation is struggling.

All over the place.

It certainly is!!! I can't believe it's taken so long for the penny to drop that pitching wins ballgames. Over the last few years they've been no higher that 27th in the majors for team ERA and, surprise surprise, have been whipping boys. A new GM, new head coach and an improved pitching staff and the wins are clocking up. I don't think they're strong enough to be in contention at the end of the season but at this point I'll settle for a season above 500. It'll be interesting to see what they do in terms of trades if they still have a chance bit further down the road.

It's a very good start and I think it's good enough to propel them to at keep above .500 to near the All Star break. I was the same a couple of years ago with the Reds but we skipped a year too when we won the NL Central.

It's a great ballpark, been there a couple of times. Never been to Wrigley or any of the NY parks but went on a tour of Fenway, unfortunatly the Red Sox were on a road trip so didn't get to see a game there. Standing at the bottom of the green monster was pretty cool though.

That's excellent :)

I first injected Clemens with steroids in 1998. Awful news if true, which I expect it is. One of the game's greatest careers just ruined like that. Tragic. I'm on the side of those that says you can't vote somebody into the HoF if they've taken performing enhancing drugs.

Agreed. Couldn't believe the story the other day about the juror being kicked out for falling asleep. If you've got to do jury service surely this is the trial you want. I know it's dragged on a bit but it's got to be the most interesting one out there at the moment.

Don't know what the Reds are doing today. Consecutive innings with errors on basic hits to load the bases with none on. Incredible. Tied game now from SAC fly. The Cuban Missle's first ER allowed this year. Sheesh.

Mr Pujols won the day for the Angels last night. Here's hoping for more of the same.

I stand corrected. It was Chapman's first conceded run but didn't class as an earned run. Didn't matter anyway because we blew a 4-0 lead to lose 4-9 lol. First big blow out by our bullpen so can't really complain especially as we're about .500 on the road.

Completely abject display from the Angels so far today. 4 - 0 to the White Sox at the middle of 6.
