The Cubs tries were scored by both Copperwaite brothers, Callum Hudson, Sean Kelly, and a brace for Charlie Eccleston, while Hudson added 5 goals.

The game was played as a curtain raiser to the Gateshead v whitehaven Challenge Cup game and after the post match refreshments, were invited to watch that game, which was just as close, the home side winning 42-38. So anyone who saw both games got their moneys worth, with a total of 146 points scored and a brawl at the very end for good measure.
