Proper game of rugby tonight, I thought.

Tense and exciting stuff, every player sweating blood for the cause, no "gimme's", and the boys who really know what rugby's about, well and truly came to the fore.

For the Cougars, I'm talking Pursglove, Nicholson and Cartlidge. Absolute supreme effort tongiht from those lads - and the first two named played the full 80 minutes n all. No breathers. Hope they'd enough energy to lift a pint afterwards, they earned it !

Mapals looked sharp and the halves gave everything, too.

Overall fantastic effort, by all concerned!
