There's far too many overpaid foreign mercenaries from the Redknapp era there as well like Utaka, Kanu and Piquionne.

It's got to be pretty galling to watch the like of them put so little effort in especially when you see a club in a similar situation like West Ham give it everything with their kids.

Where's the same spirit that you had it that UEFA cup game against Milan when you pummeled a side with Kaka, Ronaldinho and Alexander Pato in it at Fratton Park.

I really hate the fact that sports, Football and Rugby League in particular neglect the things that made them great in the first place. They became great because the working classes found them a great place to let off steam. Nowadays, it all family, nouveau and corporate fan orientated. You can't sing a chant with swearing in it, question the ref's parentage, see both packs have a good old fashioned mass brawl. It's all a bit sanitised. The person watching the tv is now more important than the fan paying at the turnstile. Why else would you give up half a stand so that Sky can have a nice gantry they can put their half dozen pundits on.
