I bet you had to use a special super wide angle lens to get one of their number 17s in shot.

He made Neil Lowe look like Victoria Beckham.

Good run out for the lads.One or two looked to have bulked up a bit.

Thought Danny Jones looked in tip top shape,Brenden looked strong,even Shick seemed much more fitter.

I have to say that the select team came in for b bit of unjustified stick especially the number 17 who at end of the day stepped in to help the cougars after Halifax pulled out and the effort of all players should be acknowledged in my opinion.

Quite right. They came along, took a hammering. Not paid a coin. Never gave up, no matter what.

I don't think the family and friends of the Select were impressed.

I don't anything I heard was any worse than what's said at league games to be honest.

I knew one of the amateurs playing and gave him a little stick when he got cramp.

The way people are going on about this you'd think what was said was the bile laden, lurid diatribe that you get at football games. It wasn't, it the kind of light hearted banter that you'll find in any industrial workplace.

I didn't hear anything nasty, although I did feel a wee bit sorry for their no. 17. Like the lady said, at least he was on the pitch.
I'd hate for people to think that the Keighley fans were hurling abuse at amateur players, because they weren't!
