People posting on here, seem to be something in between.

I cant see anything wrong with what people have posted.

I am merely debating constructive criticism and using extremes to illustrate a point.

Or are you reading too much into my post

You asked a question and I answered it. The whole point is that constructive criticism is useful but within limits (and is different for each individual). If you go too far you actually defeat the objective of producing a positive change in behaviour.

Sometimes I really can't understand you. You complain when people don't debate, then try to find hidden meanings that suit your agenda when they do.

You asked a question and I genuinely tried to add to the discussion by putting forward a reasoned argument.

Once again I did not say that or even imply it. If you want to start playing with semantics people actually do not have the right to say what they want - the AUP is necessary censorship as is the law.

I have always been an advocate of free speech and of course people have the right. However, the point you have so clearly or deliberately missed is that there are consequences when people "say what they want" about players who are going through a bad patch. People sometimes need to take a step back and consider that although the can say it, should they.

Incidentally, I don't actually care about what anyone posts on this site, I can manipulate words as well as anyone else, so if someone gives me a hard time I can do likewise. Players don't have that same right to reply and if they did, someone would be claiming they were bringing the club into disrepute.

I'm sure you will be able to read a multitude of inferences into the above, but then again you do have the right

thats one of the big problems with forums. People true meanings may not comes across as they mean it. That or other people can read something there, that isnt.

Fair point and you are right about the AUP.
As long as people stay within it they can anything they want to about the club, team, player.

I would love to know which players, are going through a bad patch. I really would because i dont think any of them are. I see players learning the game. Some make mistakes but don't we all.

Who is giving you a hard time, i don't see it. People expressing there opinion, maybe but giving you a hard time, i don't think so. If you see it like that then fair enough.
Players do have the right to come on here and say there bit.
Its up to them if they do. They have done it before, maybe not using there own name but it has been done.

Well I suppose it just goes to show that one person writes black, the other reads white

At the risk of becoming a pedantic bore and just for the record:

1) People can say what they want about players, the club etc.

2) I don't care that people say what they want, but I, like anyone else, have the right to respond.

3) I didn't say anyone was giving me a hard time I used it as an example that its easier for me to respond to any criticism than a player. Players have to think about the image of the club and the wishes of the coach, management and sponsors before they potentially upset anyone.

4) I didn't say any player was having a bad patch, it was a generalisation that in such an instant criticism might be counterproductive.

5) I think Greg Austin was a money grabbing prima donna.

6) Debating on this site is rather like throwing sweets at a crowd. Some will go over their heads
