Hi all,
Just wanted to say what a cracking game we watched today the players did the club proud, ok there were times when I'm sure we were worried but the lads dug in deep and showed what every last one of them are capable of and at the same time it is showing what JD is doing as a coach and I am sure things can only get better. He is really trying to put his mark on the team now.
Off the field it is the second game you have hopefully experienced a family matchday experience as we have had plenty going on around the ground, I promise to keep this going and aim to make Cougar Park a day out for everyone in Keighley. We have had 2 great attendances and finally broke that 1000 mark.
Things can only get better now with the new sponsors that have and wanting to come on board plus new players, good results and finally some good crowds that hopefully will keep coming back.
The season is not over by far yet and nothing is certain so keep coming and doing what you are and continued to do through out the seasons it really is appreciated and to hear the Cougar chant rip the ground was a great moment for myself, so keep believing and keep bringing that extra person.
Lastly spread the word that Cougars are on there way back
I agree with every post tonight. Everyone connected to the club and the fans should be very proud. There was certainly a lot of noise in the Jewson stand, even when we had conceded a try. My throat is sore and I'm sure there are many more like me. Well done to all.
I don't want to put a dampener on the efforts of Rob and co, however, one thing has to be addressed urgently. I took my 2 young children today, 3 and 5 year old. My 3 year old got in for free and I paid £4 for my 5 year old. I went through the childrens turnstile, however, after they had gone through I was told I had to pay via the adults turnstile and could not follow them through. That meant leaving my 2 girls unattended in the ground whilst I had to walk from that turnstile to the adult one. Don't get me wrong I know they were in a secure ground, however, as a parent this did not sit right with me and needs addressing
I don't want to blow this out of proportion, but if we are trying to attract families to the game we need a family turnstile where children and parents can pay and go in together. I'm just glad when I turned up today it wasn't busy and I could get through to be with the kids pretty quickly. To make parents leave young children unattended in the ground is not good. This may be enough to make some re-think coming to the game.
