As many of you will be aware the choir sang the national anthems at Elland Road on Saturday,my dad(Noel) has been a member for many years and was obviously delighted at the opportunity,in his capacity as vice chairman of the committe he received a letter today from the RFL explaining that they were without doubt the best choir they had ever used and would like to continue using them for future internationals so I just wanted to give em a big shout! Well done fellas.

Fantastic Stuff.

I was lucky enough to be there and they were superb, I'm not a fan of having choirs etc singing the anthems, I'd rather hear the fans belt it out, but they were easily the best I've heard.

Was loving the medley of patriotic anthems being sung before the players came out.

Andrew : Noel used to be the caretaker at my primary school .... many many moons ago...... say hi to him from John , I used to see him at a lot of home matches when i could get there , sure he'll remember me !!!

Got to agree , they were fantastic , shame the team couldnt have performed as well but next time could the RFL get a decent brass band to accompany them ,dont know who it was but they absolutely murdered Elgars ' Nimrod ' IMHO one of the finest bits of music ever written.

I think it took them, longer to walk out and get back. Than it did to sing there songs, there was soooooooooooooo many of them

It did sound very good. Along side the brass band it worked very well. So glad they have been asked to do it again.

Andrew,
My Dad is also in Steeton MVC!! Although we are Halifax RLFC fans (welcome back to the Championship by the way!!)
He was telling me how much he enjoyed it and how the men all went 'Wow!' as they walked out on to the pitch! I think it'll live with them a long time!!
