This game pretty much summed up our season from a playing and supporting perspective.. Started off alright and got progressively worse.

Bollocked one of our fans for shamefully disrespecting the minute silence before the game.

Oh and the ref was dreadful, completely biased, but we'd have still lost anyway.

Congratulations to Fev on finishing top again, they're a superb side and it will take something special to stop them in the playoffs.

I enjoyed the game. Seemed to be a bit of "bite" about our tackling and we tried to release the ball and create second phase play rather than just one man rugby. We had at least 5 players out who would normally have made the first team.

We made the usual costly mistakes and gave away too many penalties but I must admit to being very frustrated by how refs interpret "holding down" and how that interpretation seems to change as the game progresses .

Fev are the best side in this division and will take some stopping. I do think that any side that can maintain a concerted fast play the ball and create second and third phase play might just cause them trouble. At the moment, the only side that will beat fev. is themselves.

I didn't get to the game today, but I have mixed views on JD's philosophy about the changes. I think he's been labelled "tinkerman" by a poster on here which is probably an accurate description. I don't think he can help himself. At times I understand he needs to keep people interested and maybe fresh, but that has to be an opportunity created by an injury or tactical change not just for the sake of it. The best chance we have of beating Fax on Thursday in my opinion was to take some momentum and confidence into the game and having six starters in the stands surprised me. We probably wouldn't of beaten them even with the inclusions but we could have taken something from the game. On Thursday no doubt these players will come back in again and it will be a changed team again.

A big part of this game other than ability is the mental aspect with confidence being a big part. Also, players will get to know each other and being in the team one week and out the next can't help with any of the above for me. I'm not the coach so what do I know, but it's just my opinion. I can probably name at least 10 Feav regulars who have played pretty much all season. Can we do the same?
