True fans will go no matter what.
I'm sorry but that's a very poor comment.
And it's exactly why club directors and governing bodies across not just this sport, but most others as well take liberties with the deluded blind loyalty of fans.
The Super League and the RFL have played a blinder here.
First you bring in the Dual Reg rule.
Then expanded it to more players.
Then only allow dual reg to be done with a partner club, so that a team with no chance of winning owt like Hunslet feel compelled to go cap in hand to Leeds to get better players for next to nowt. Other teams feel threatened by this so go cap in hand to other league clubs.
The next bit will go along the lines of this, the number of Dual Reg players allowed to play will go up from 5 to 7 then 7 to 11 and before you know it we'll be nothing but developmental team like the AA and AAA teams they have in american sports.
The true fans of the Championship should not just stand idly by and keep going through the turnstyles like sheep whilst their team, their pride and their heritage are eroded to nothing but column inches on Wikipedia. They should make a stand, a stand for the future and integrity of our game.
