I really do think we are on the verge of a very big abyss.

We simply cannot go down at the end of this season. If we do the club will be finished.

The trouble is S/L do not care about the game at the lower level. Unless it is to help them. This has been clearly proved by the farce which is the D/R. system.

The RFL dont seem to be able to help with the profile of the lower leagues.

We are in the worse recession we have ever been in.

I am not calling for the board to step down. But who is going to come in.

People are being very careful with there money. Companies are cutting back on there spending budgets. Why should a local company come and put money into Keighley when it will be used to help Cas gets its players fit.

The post was aimed at no one in particular , just venting frustration that someone had ,what seemed
to me,made a suggestion about a Suppkrters trust, after I had put in many hours trying to organise
meetings for pirag for it to just be ignored .
Anyway ,I do not quite know what has happened with pirag , the original founder had to step
down as his business apparently went into overdrive and felt he didn't have enough time to commit
After that I don't quite k.ow what happened ,maybe a huge break down of cimmunication
as it all just turned to s***.As I said earlier I do not know who is running it etc.

If I offended you or anyone with the post then I hold my hands up and apologise ,It
was not my intention.......I speak as I find ,am never afraid to voice my opinion, thats
how I am.

@EVERYONE :
Ok , let's stop messing about ,this is how I see it,the club is in the sheeite with money, eveyrone knows this
as we can all see everything has been cut to the bone.
What I propose is this , and it is up to everyone else to comment on if you want to be involved......
Does anyone fancy setting up a simple non comittee (spelling) type volunteer group to basically
raise money to give directly to squadbuilder to enable whoever is coaching to have that bit
more spending power ?
Again I stress no comitteee/secretary/etc etc,all we would need is One person responsible
for the money raised before it is handed to squadbuilder,everything kept totally transparent
and simple ,a basic name like 'Cougar pride 'or 'Keighley Cougar Fundraisers' something
along those lines.
Just basically a group of likeminded people meeting say once a fortnight to raise money
for the Cougars and giving it straight to squadbuilder........ no messing about and no bullsheeite.

What do you all say ?????

The ground is littered with well meaning volunteers and fund raisers from the past years. Groups that have formed and gone. These sort of projects are not simple and not basic. It takes an awful lot of commitment and patience.

I am no expert on this subject but I think you will find that if you set up a money raising entity you will at least need a documented accountancy system to show where the money is coming from and where it is going to plus a bank account and nominated persons who are authorised signatories.

Once the group size rises above a couple of like minded individuals, you are likely to end in chaos if you don't have some form of controlling group/person/committiee with properly controlled meetings/minutes etc.

No slight intended to you, just pointing out that fund raising usually involves more than just a couple of well meaning people holding out the proverbial bucket, so to speak.

Money laundering and fraud are two fairly big reasons why people who run things like this need to show an audit trail that can be followed.
