It would appear thus far reading the posts that it is a shareholder problem, that being said lets for arguments sake they go into administration then this leaves open apart from the points deduction could the team directly below them in the season just finished have a case for reinstatement.

I wouldn't have thought so as the season has already finished. How ever minus nine points for the beginning of next season would appear to be in order if we are to treat everyone the same ie Widnes,Rochdale and Doncaster. This may go out of the window as we are talking expansion teams here and anything goes.

After 10 years i'd hardly call them an expansion team anymore.

Sounds like someone's agreed to put money in and have not been as good as their word.

I hope they don't go in to administration (even if it would help us).

I'd rather see us stay up on merit than scrape it on a technicality.

The development club status they have had for 10 years is a joke and despite what Gateshead say they are still overloaded with overseas players and until they are told there is a time limit there is no real incentive for them to promote uk or local talent.

They could have a case but whose going to argue it with the RFL.
