Just been read out on look North that Jason Demetriou has been named as our new gaffer

It was only a brief reading and didnt say if he was to be a player coach or not though but id like to think so given that he previously backed himself to play for York

IMO was a superb player and a real professional, as well as being (from folk who know him) a superb guy. Was always one of my favourite players.

Hope this works out really well for you. I always assumed he would make a fine coach, and I really hope he does now. I think he will, too. Good one.

Surprising that this has been announced on Look North before Club's Website, Facebook page or Twitter feed.

What's the point of having these if we get the information elsewhere beforehand? They should be the first point of call for all club news.

How long does it take to post on Twitter/Facebook? It only takes me a few seconds on my Blackberry.

According to the press in York. We are going to pay, a 5 figure sum in compensation to the Knights.
If this is the case with his wages he better do a good job.

I don't like player coaches. Never have.
You either one or the other.
I wonder if he would drop himself if he isnt playing well.

Jesus,100K + compo,we must be loaded.Seems a hell of a lot of money to get him onboard.
Personally its a good call BUT all that money
