I thought we they wernt going to get any compo. Considering he was there only 3 weeks, were they entitled to any.

As was mentioned at the time. If we had to pay anything for JD, would we have signed him?.

So long as he joined us I am not bothered as long as he carries the club forward thatr the important thing. An idea to upset York would be for club to give out bucket loads of free tickets to minimise the profits from the gamd I dont intend helping them benefit from my money although saying that when they are relegated and we as I believe will be promoted will be good to mock them.

I would be suprised if they club paid any money to York for JD. Con's posts a while back seemed to give the impression that no compensation clauses existed, but who knows. Moreover, now he's here and in my opinion doing a good job, who cares?

In the press statement i have put the link to it says, The Press can today reveal the Knights have received some compensation from the Cougars following his switch, in the form of a fee plus a pre-season friendly next year from which York would keep the profits. so i take it a fee was paid.

I can't see the fee being huge based on the circumstances.

Would have thought that "the game" would be played at their ground to give them more profit.

Keighley did pay York a fee in the end, although my guess is that they only paid York the equivalent of a months wage for JD.

I'm still not sure why you are all so bitter towards York though.

Wheels, its not personal to you just found a minority of your fans in past obnoxious, however there is no way am I going to pay watch the arranged game to only line Yorks profits my view would be same no matter which club this involved.
