Don't see anything wrong with what JD's said to be honest. I don't think he's disrespecting the fans, after all this is the guy who gave his bottle of Sky man of the match fizz to the fans after the Swinton game. I'd say he's a class act. If anything he's trying to motivate some of the more apathetic fans at Cougar Park.
Likewise I don't think what Workington did last week was disrespectful. They were demonstrating what it should mean to make a grand final the wanted it way more than we did.
On this week's Cougarmail he echoed my sentiment on the matter at the Workington game and what he's said after the game is pretty much a repeat of it.
It's a delicate matter, the whole fan player thing is a bit of a synergy, one feeds off the other. If we're flat they'll play flat and vice-versa.
We need to show a united front for the final. When we are all together as one we have shown that we a very strong proposition. If the team starts to struggle we must take up the slack and raise our intensity to spur them on and not go quiet.
