£15 - A fair price to watch the cougars vs Warrington, one of the best sides in the Super league, its £1 more than a normal championship 1 game. However £5 is alot of money to sit down in the stand. The stand If I remember rightly seats between 400 - 500 people but no doubt there will be alot of sponsors etc for this game who will require seating.

Myself Im gonna enjoy this game and see what progress we have made from our 80-0 loss to warrington last year and at the end of the day any extra money the club can make to progress further in the league has to be a good thing.

How many people always say we need a new stand?
I believe £15 k was spent fixing up the present stand last season.

These are things fans want.

The people who benefit most from the stand being repaired will be the people who sit
in it. I don't think it is beyond reasonable to pass a portion of that cost on.

As for this_cougar_outfit quote "15 quid in?

Don't think so. Whoever decided this is thick as sh*t"

The only game I have found entry to for less than £15 is Broncos.
(Some have not published prices)

Considering the occasion, the extra things needed and the fact Cougars is a business
who should make hay when the sun shines, I can't believe you say that about £15 when it would cost £14 for any other League Game.

If we were away, could you have got there for a quid?

I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

Anon.

Re: Warrington Game/thrashing : Fri Mar 30, 2012 12:52 pm
I mentioned it earlier but I'll raise it again - do we have complete control over what we can charge in a Challenge Cup (shared gate) game or do Warrington also have a say?

Their charges per stand are:

North £26.50

East £21.00

South £18.50

West £18.50

I presume the lowest prices are for standing areas.

I certainly expected prices to be higher against a Superleague team so £15 sounds fair to me. We need the money to keep the club building for the future. The prices chosen do seem a fair balance between our normal prices and Warrington's prices. Seating will be sought after by a lot of people so it's unfortunate children haven't been allowed cheaper entry, but again the extra revenue will hopefully contribute to a stronger club.

 well said Rob , fully agree. I really hope the club pulls out all the stops to create a good impression to Warrington , and not just to bolster already over inflated egos of a certain individual. I dont envy Rach, Wendy etc in the bar on that day and hope they are giving as much support as they need ... good luck to all concerned.

Lets face it people.
We are going to get a hiding.
If we stay within 50 of them, we have done really well.

I will pay £15, but if it had been any more. I would have gone walking for the day.

This.

If we concede less than 50 points and get on the scoreboard I'll be highly delighted.

Wire are the best attacking team in super league. They even turned an NRL team over down under during pre season.

Just quickly on the game

I hope we can hold them for a while the Wolves are not in perfect form at the mo and we are looking pretty sharp, Now in no way am I saying we can win but given allot of factors that aid us more than last season, notably we have a better team by far, other little things like we at home this time and the Warringtons previous game to playing us will an easter monday trip to Catalan which will not be eay in more ways than one. I would hope we can make a real game of at least for the first half.

Potentialy we can keep them below 50 if things go well I think we could score a try or two

So given all the factors that aid us more than they did last season

Its a hopefuly one in some ways but 48 - 10 to Wolves - 18 - 6 at HT

I think that is being hopeful but I think we could manage something like that at our best

with regard to the drinks and the bar I know that we are having at least 1 bottle bar set up for before, during, and after the game and we are hoping to position it at the side of the standing stand. There was also talk of bottle sellers using the bags from the old pie suppliers walking around selling beer. Hopefully this will help as the main problem with the hof bar, is that the more people you put behind it, the harder it is. Having spent the last 4 years on a match day behind the bar, anymore than 4 bar staff and it becomes very hard work, just to get to the guiness and magners, never mind the blooming till. lol.

I was on about this after the game on Sunday.

Having seen this in action whilst watching live sports events whilst in the US and Canada. I can safely say it works. Instead of selling those plastic bottles of Carling at £2.70 a piece, sell them at 2 bottles for £5 so the sellers don't have to carry too much change. The club will be laughing.
